Well, I have heard about facebook like everyone else, but to date, had not joined the community.
So this past Sunday, I joined and within 4 hours had reconnected with close to 40 friends from high school. So I started thinking, 40 people who are employed, know people who are employed, you see where I am going with this?
Well, just since Sunday, I have already been directed to or introduced to 7 employers and have submitted my resume. Remember the old commerical (okay I am dating myself again, but it aired in the late 70′s or early 80′s) the faberge shampoo commerical, they told two friends, then they told two friends and so on and so on. Well, it does seem to be working and it is yet another avenue to get yourself (resume) out there.
So go ahead, be bold and just do it. GOOD LUCK =)
